Hunting ‘Droop Beams’
“Droop Beams” is the name of this northern Ohio non-typical buck pictured below! A hunter & avid outdoorsman, Eric Brubaker, shot this buck in mid-December. He’s the owner of Swamp Bottom Habitat out of Shiloh, Ohio & he is a big supporter of 360 Hunting Blinds. While Eric is not an authorized dealer, he has teamed up with Norman at 5 Star Coatings, and assists with selling our blinds to Ohio hunters and land managers. Eric has been hunting out of 360 hunting blinds for 3 years now. He uses an E-Bike to access most of his blinds on his farms, and has multiple properties that have been cultivated into deer (and hunter) havens over the years, with the help of Real World Wildlife products, as well as our blinds! At the moment, his favorite blind is the Shootin’ House XL, as it serves him well in both rifle & crossbow season. Now, back to hunting “Droop Beams!” This buck has been showing up on Eric’s trail cams for 3+ years, and has caught Eric’s eye since the beginning. He was pushing a doe the night that Eric squeezed the trigger. He came in hot on the food plot and chased out all the other smaller 2-year bucks. There were cattle real close in the adjacent field, as well as right under Eric, during the hunt! After a good bit of time, Droop Beams gave Eric a broadside angle and Eric squeezed. It was a great 51-yard shot! A Successful Richland county Ohio hunt, in every way: Droop Beams did not require any post-shot tracking…. Congratulations, Eric! Thanks for sharing such an epic hunt!
