Tony & Amanda ~ Spring Turkey Success!
Tony and Amanda L., husband and wife from South Central Minnesota, both punched tags on some big birds in spring turkey season! Tony’s success started on April 19th. We’ll let him share how it went down:
“It was a chilly morning, but it was supposed to warm up fast and be a beautiful sunny day, so I was expecting the hunting to be pretty good. I was excited when the sun started coming up and there was a big tom roosted within 70 yds of my Shootin’ House blind. I heard some gobbles as the sun rose, some were close and some way off in the distance. Within an hour of sunrise, 4 toms, 2 jakes, and a hen came out into my food plot. I took a shot at the first tom that gave me a good shot. A successful shot with my bow dropped him.
This was the same blind I was hunting in almost exactly 1 year to the day, that I shot another tom from. I am amazed at how well 360 blinds keep you hidden from sight and sound… even with 12 Turkeys within 25 yards of me I was able to fully open an archery window, draw back, and shoot a tom. The tom ran off and crashed in the brush, and the other 11 turkeys never flinched or even knew I was there! You saw the video earlier this week, of the 11 turkeys walking by my Shootin’ House. I took that video in 2025, after shooting the tom!
I am amazed at the quality of 360 Hunting Blinds, how much more enjoyable they are to hunt out of compared to other blinds, but also by the people and the company behind the product. You can have a great product, but if you don’t have great people standing behind it, it means nothing. I pride myself on having the best products, the best customer service, and the best integrity… and 360 Hunting Blinds shares the same values. I operate and run Non-Typical Properties and I am a dealer for 360 Hunting Blinds and Real World Wildlife Products!”
Incredible hunt Tony, and thanks for sharing your opinion on the product that you not only sell, but use & stand behind! We’re thankful go getter kind of folks like Tony and Amanda at Non-Typical Properties. Dealers who aren’t just trying to turn a product, but they’re using them religiously, come spring and fall. Let’s get over to Amanda’s hunt, from a few days after Tony’s!
Tony’s 2025 Tom on the left, and 2026 Tom on the right!
Three days after Tony shot his Tom, his wife Amanda was able to shoot a Tom from about 100 yards from Tony’s spot! Amanda was hunting out of a 360 Pro XL. Her hunt was an early day hunt as well… After first light, she was hearing gobbles and catching a glimpse of some hens. The first Tom she saw, she passed up as she could hear others in the distance. Without any calls or decoys, she sat patiently in the 360 Pro XL, waiting for the larger Tom to show himself. The 360 Pro XL’s “all around visibility” allowed Amanda to quickly spot the Tom coming in from behind. She made the shot and this bird had inch and a half spurs! A record for Tony and Amanda!
Amanda loves to hunt from 360 blinds because of these three features:
Visibility from all angles and directions while still keeping you concealed.
Ability to hunt together with friends and family, and ability to introduce and expose kids to hunting comfortably!
Protection from the elements, including the bugs!
