Chad & Tom Shootin’ House Hunt, Spring Gobbler 2024

We had the pleasure of meeting Chad S. At the Great American Outdoor Show back in February! We talked about his Shootin House that he owns, for a little while and then swapped some hunting stories. This one takes us to west of State College, right in the center of Pennsylvania.

Chad and his brother Tom were in their 360 Shootin’ House, hunting 2024 Spring Gobbler. This big tom came in so fast Chad was unable to get a shot off, at first. The tom was alone and hung out right under and around the hunting blind tower for around 20 minutes. He gobbled, then gobbled some more and finally turned off in a direction that was easy for Chad to quietly slip open the window and take a shot. A 3-yard headshot at that. This was Chad’s first successful hunt in the blind, and we are anxiously waiting for this coming spring turkey, as well as whitetail season, hoping to hear more successful hunting stories from Tom and Chad!

Thanks for sharing your successful hunt! Not every sit in the blind punches a tag. Hard-work, perseverance and patience paid off here, just as it will for harvesting a PA Whitetail from the blind, which is Chad’s ultimate goal!

Thanks for following along! See you here next week, for another 360 In The Field.
